Global Leaders
Going Beyond English
We make learning English effective by making it engaging, fun and going beyond just English. English is used as a medium (especially for more advanced learners) to engage students in other topics relevant to their futures. Our communicative approach employs project and leadership components that encourage learners to be actively engaged in the learning process with tangible, rewarding outcomes that go beyond developing language skills.
Students often work in groups on assigned projects that include web, video, podcast and blog creations and team building and leadership skill exercises. The goal is to create an interactive, communicative setting to fully engage students in the learning process.

Global Leaders
Streams
For intermediate and higher level students each week of the program cycles through a Global Leaders Stream, where English is used as a medium to engage students in pertinent topics and skills that will be impactful on their futures and challenge them to use their English skills in a more concrete and applied manner. Students will work in groups of 5 to 7 to learn, research and finally apply their knowledge in presentations on Friday. The streams offered are given below.
A student’s arrival date and program duration will determine which streams they participate. As each stream is one week in duration students starting mid-week may not be fully integrated into a stream until the following week. Streams take place in the last period of each day. See daily schedule below for details. Subject to availability, each stream will strive to have a guest expert speaker on the topic to present in person or via zoom at 12: 30 to 13:30 on Mondays.

Instructors
Strong Relationships
The most important part of any learning journey is the relationship between instructors and students. Classes (16 to 18 students on average per teacher) are led by professional, certified instructors, ensuring a comfortable and engaging learning environment. All our teachers are required to have a university degree, teaching certification and 2 years teaching experience. Instructors for junior students are specifically selected for their experience and innate ability in teaching young learners. They have the indispensable personality skills to connect with young learners and keep them engaged throughout the learning process. This bond continues outside the classroom as the teachers lead students on activities and help them discover their new city and its culture.
