About 130 km away from Toronto, Niagara Falls is one of the most recognized waterfalls in the world.
The falls are approximately 12,000 years old and are actually made up of three separate waterfalls: the American falls, the Bridal Veil Falls (named for its resemblance to a bride’s veil) and the largest, the Horseshoe Falls.

*Fun fact: The waters of the Niagara River are used by a combined Canada/United States population of more than 1,000,000 people for a wide range of purposes such as drinking, fishing, recreation and hydro-power generation.
