Pride Parade

By |2016-07-04T02:47:00+00:00July 4th, 2016|Summer 2016|

For 35 years now Toronto has hosted the Pride Parade, an event that aims to honour and empower people with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations. This is an all inclusive event that truly highlights our vibrant culture and continues to educate and celebrate our community. The students took part in this historically important event, seeing the parade and surrounding entertainment. Joining thousands of others- wearing bright colours and huge smiles! Due to such huge crowds it was tough to take a good shot, so we’ve borrowed the ones not of the group from: Mark Blinch/ Canadian Press http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/toronto-pride-parade-2016-1.3663042 and Pride Toronto’s Instagram https://www.instagram.com/pridetoronto/

Our student’s enjoyed swimming and exploring the city centre. It is a quaint peaceful area, another opportunity to take a break from city life.
