CN Tower!

It’s popular with tourists for a reason. This iconic tower went up 41 years ago, it’s the 6th tallest tower in the world and the tallest tower in the western hemisphere.

Our groups got to feel the rush of the 58 second elevator ride to the top, and take in some breathtaking views of the city. The highlight of this tour is the glass floor experience.

Party Rockers in the Hard Rock cafe!

In addition to exploring the city we let lose with a couple of parties. The first was at the Hard Rock cafe. This was a great chance for students to meet people from different activity groups and classes. Also a great opportunity to practice English with students from different countries. It was an extremely fun night!

Niagara Falls

This is the big one! The mighty Niagara Falls. It remains breathtaking even to us Canadians who have frequently been to visit. The real treat on this day at the falls is the maid of the mist. It is a boat tour that takes you right up to the falls. You feel the spray of the water crashing down and if you’re lucky see a rainbow form.

Salsa on St.Clair

The streets come alive for this entertaining day of salsa dancing. There is live music and a lot of great food. This neighborhood also has some of the best restaurants and bakeries in the city.

Here are some of our students showing us Torontonians how its done 🙂

We’re on a boat

Lake Ontario is one of those lakes you forget is a lake. It stretches so far and wide it feels like you are facing the ocean!

The task of the day, to conquer this great lake by canoe. With their paddles and new friends our students had a blast on this competitive day.

Lets the good times start!

The start of summer in Toronto is always exciting. At Quest we have the added excitement of welcoming our guest students from Spain, Brazil, Columbia, Russia and Saudi Arabia.

While improving on their English we plan fun filled days that highlight the best our city has to offer. Here is one of our first outings on Canada’s birthday.

I present the activity leaders. We love our city and want to help you explore, discover and love it as much as we do by the end of your stay!

Farewell!

Our summer program is over, and we’re sad to see everyone go! We had a lot of fun and made a lot of new friends and great memories! We hope to see you all next year!

Classroom Fun 2013

Not only do Quest students get to enhance their cultural and linguistic immersion experiences through afternoon/evening/weekend activities, but they also go to class five mornings a week. Class involves focus on grammar and conversation skills. But it’s not all work! Class can be fun too! We want students to get up, get moving, and get active as much as possible. Students enjoyed taking part in cooperative games that both helped them get to know their peers, and improve their English.

We even find opportunities for students to go on mini field trips with their classes! This year, a lot of the students wanted to go bargain shopping at Dollarama (a very cheap store with every item you can think of!). One of our classes also went to the nearby Allen Gardens (a small botanical garden) where they got to see a variety of plants and flowers.

High Park – July 24

Today, some of our student groups went to High Park, Toronto’s largest (and arguably the most beautiful) park. After a bit of suntanning, students formed teams and played a few games of soccer. Afterwards, many people decided to jump in the pool for a quick swim.
